Comamigo Faq's
What is Comamigo?
- Comamigo is a full service international phone service provider, offering long distant service world wide plus local phone services in USA and Canada
I don't have a dial tone
- Verify that your phone is plugged into the "A" port on the Broadband Gateway Box.
- Verify your internet connection, try browsing to a website.
- If your internet connection is down, please contact your Internet provider.
- With your Internet connection working, reboot your home network (router) and try again.
- Make sure your router is assigned the proper DHCP IP address. If the status LED is red, it probably did not receive the DHCP IP addrss.
- Please check the device on the network.
I get a fast busy signal
- Make sure you are dialing the correct sequence (Country code + Area Code + telephone number).
- If the problem still persists, please call the Comamigo Customer Care Support Team at 1-800-978-3819
I get poor line quality
- Try a different telephone.
- This could be caused by congestion on the Internet.
- If access to normal web sites is slow, or if you are in the process of downloading/uploading a large file, this is the most likely cause.
- Turn off all file-sharing applications. Try again.
I keep getting disconnected in the middle of a call
- This could be caused by congestion on the Internet. If access to normal web sites is slow, or if you are in the process of downloading/uploading a large file, this is the most likely cause.
- Turn off all file-sharing applications. Try again.
- If this disconnection occurs during a long distance call, try making a local call to see if the disconnection still occurs.
- Track down which numbers disconnect you.
- Make sure your Internet connection is still working when you are disconnected. If it is your Internet connection that is ending your calls, please contact your Internet provider.
What do I do if I have an alarm system for my home?
- There are alarm monitoring companies that do support the VoIP platform, however, we strongly recommend that you check with your current alarm provider before making the decision to switch.
